Reprogramming alarm remotes

Featured Replies

Hello

Having had one remote lose the plot and the other just get lost, I've purchased 2 new remote fobs (and boy they are expensive! ) which came with instructions to reprogramme. The instructions say to turn on the switch on the alarm unit itself to do this, but I can't find any switch on the alarm unit!! I've had my brother who is a good mechanic look at it, and the garage when it went in for a service today, and no one else can find the switch either! The garage reckon it was a factory fitted model and so doesn't have the switch and so can't tell me how I'm meant to reprogramme the new remote fobs, but the company that supplied the remote fobs say that particualr alarm is always after sales fitted, not factory fitted and so should have a switch! HELP!! Its a laserline T101 according to the details on the back of the one remaining remote fob.

What seemed should be so easy is turning into a very expensive nighmare, can someone please help?

Thank you

It would appear you've got the wrong fobs. If you bought them by mail, get'em back sharpish and use your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations to get your money back. Then off to the dealer and order one there.

The skoda dealer tells me the remotes aren't available any more so they're not being any help either! Hence buying the fobs from elsewhere that said they were compatible! They are certainly the same visually to the old ones, with same code on the back. Hence being so confused
