6 Disc OEM CD Changer

Featured Replies

Hi all, newbie post here, apologies if it's not quite right!

I've noticed the 54-reg Octavia Elegance that I've just bought hasn't got the CD changer in the boot as it should have, but does have the wiring loom and plug, does anyone know where I might be able to get hold of an OEM one without paying dealer prices?

Update - just to clarify, I have the Stream double DIN headunit, and the mounting rack/cage in the left hand side of the boot, complete with the lead, looks like a previous owner took the cd changer with them, so it's purely the 6 disc changer I'm looking for.

Update 2 - I believe the Skoda part number is: AAP 600 001 and it should look like the one below:

I've got a 6 cd changer out of a fabia that is surplus to requirements - not sure if it will fit the octavia - someone will be along to help I'm sure!

I have a brand spanking new one,Out of my MK1 octy vrs which is the cassette type.If its any good to you make me an offer.;)

My December registered 56 plate Octavia Ambiente has the standard non MP3 6 cd changer in the boot. The radio is the standard Stream with MP3 compatibility. Do the later model Octavias have a MP3 compatible 6 cd changer?

Updated original post with more info

I'm pretty sure the one in the original post is the in-dash one from a VW. All the Skoda ones I've seen have taken cartridges. I think there is one in the for-sale section of the site.

I'm afraid that the one I offered up is one of the cartridge type ones :)

Wish I had seen this earlier. I have the original changer out of my Mk2 Octavia in the garage still. Its a Panasonic unit and not a cartridge type.

This is what people forget when they sell their changers. What about the person that buys the car.

As mine was written off I couldn't care less. I have all the OEM speakers as well.

The reason it was out was because I had a Phatbox.

I'd speak to Mr Hedge then as his is the right item for an octy II
