Hi guys my stereo display has just gone out on my Octavia ambient 06 plate 1.9 TDI .The stereo still works but the display is blank.Any ideas please.Stream

Sounds like a faulty HU & I guess it's just out of warranty.

Thanx its still in warranty ,so will they replace?

Yes, the warranty covers the radio (as long as it's not been mistreated) I had the loud 'pop' noise on mine and the dealer changed it no problems.

That has happened to me in the past but after re switch ign on the display comes back again but hasn,t done it in a long time now.

I have a Superb 2011 and this happens for me every once in a while. The radio is on, screen is black. But it actually works so if you remember where all "buttons" are on the screen you can still switch channels et c... It usually works the next time I start the engine. 

 

I haven't bothered bringing it to the shop since it will most likely be impossible to find the fault...
