And so the modifying begins...

Featured Replies

Went over to JBS yesterday, for a couple of things...

One being an uprated Forge DV 007P, as i know that the plans i have will probably require this to be changed anyhow, and the fact they gave me a 15% discount... i thought why not ;)

the 2nd not so good reason was because of the EML light coming on the other week, and unfortunately nobody near me in sheff to be able to assist with reading the fault codes, so had to spend my money @ JBS instead... anyhow they diagnosed it as either a boost/ vacuum pipe and also another fault about : MAF reading too low ; Fuel trim back 1 system too lean.

As i didnt have enough time for them to investigate further and change pipes etc, i went back today, it was the vacuum hose that is under the inlet manifold that was the problem, completely split, and i decided to get the MAF changed anyhow, especially with the ASR coming on now and then, which pointed to the MAF being on its way apparently.

Anyway... i now have my first modified shiny bit in the engine bay :D;) with another ABD shiny bit on order :D hmm what to go for next.... IHI seems to be calling me

cheers

I've also begun to seriously modify my 1.8T Skoda.

Right now I'm looking at an exhaust system. Do you know, or anyone else, if the ones made for the mkIV Jetta fit?

btw, a few years back I bought a Forge DV and it failed after about 2 years. The piston would stick upon initiation of acceleration and deceleration. I put in a stock Audi TT DV and even with my stage II Revo tuning it hasn't failed in about a year now.
