fabia vrs and g12++ coolant

Featured Replies

i want to change my coolant but not 100% sure which coolant I need. i have heard that the G12++ Is the new one. I think mine is currently g12, but what i'd want to do is completely flush out the old stuff and put in new g12++ with a 50/50 mix with water. is that the correct ratio?

does anyone know how many litres of g12++ i would need?

thanks

The cooling system holds 6.8Litres off coolant for a 1.9 deisel , so do your maths correctly at 40coolant:60water you will need ? I'll let you work it out. If your going to change all of it it then flush the system out. It is doubtfull that you will be able to drain all 6.8L. off coolant so flush with clean water then add ? off coolant,

and then add water until your level is right,

run engine for a couple of minutes with cap off to let air out,

top up again with water, fit cap,

drive car for a good few miles at least till it gets hot,

leave standing or overnight to cool down,

check level and top up if necessary,

hopefully no leaks and drive as normal.
