hello all,

I have a mk1 octavia vRS.

I have weitec hicon GT coilovers on and a whiteline 22mm rear anti role bar, along with a few other bits.

My sister has just moved into her new house so thought Id go look.

i parked up outside on a rather od track and when reversing in to it I noticed the car didnt feel right:confused:

On getting out to look the car bobled a bit:eek: and I saw that my drivers side rear wheel was off the floor:rolleyes::eek:

went round to the front and the same was on the front pass side.

I could actually rock the car!. there was no creacks or groans that I heard adn a mate who was watchin said it was no noise. for a normal car to park there it would be easy and no hassle but for mine it was a bit of entertainment for 10 mins lol:thumbup:

Just goes to show how stiff the chassis is on the octy and how good the RARB is. a mate took pics that ill try get up. if not ill get some more when I go back up yorkshire way.

just thought Id sing praise a bit.

You won't be parking there again then! lol

Well that's one way to find out how stiff the chassis is..... I'll stick to being told rather than experience that!!!!

had a similar thing with the Ibiza when turning around whilst partly on the kerb. it's on standard suspension and doesn't have a RARB

Had the same thing happen up a Welsh mountain about 20 years ago. I was driving an Austin Maxi at the time. Next time it happens try opening and closing the tailgate. We could open ours but it didn't want to close again until the car was level.

actually now I think about it, nearly 30 years ago...
