Dont know how many will recall, but awhile back had an issue with the ASR light coming on at around 20minutes into a journey, but very infrequent, maybe once in about 2 or 3 weeks.. anyhow a few pointed it towards a possible faulty MAF..

since then my EML came on, and as unfortunately no one available in sheffield area to read my fault codes, i went to JBS... they diagnosed a couple of faults, one of which was a split vacuum hose (the one thats known for going under inlet manifold area)..

after clearing ecu, the EML did not come on again, although the maf was still reading low (not sure what that meant) anyway, i had the MAF changed for a new one.. as especially as i found out that they still use the probe, when upgrading the MAF housing when going bigger turbo... soon hopefully

this was at the weekend... drove to work this morning and just before getting there ASR light pops on...

any further suggestions :confused:

TB clean? Might not be what's causing your ASR light to come on, but it got rid of mine. Only mentioning as it's a quick, cheap and easy process so can't do any harm...

it has been one of those jobs i have been meaning to do, and tbh probably the cause of slightly erratic idling i've noticed recently.
