Ok ll start by saying it didn't ACTUALLY try kiling me but here's what happened.

was out washing the car and gave it afew new coats of dodo juice, spent about 3 hours working on it. the car was super white, and with the sun bouncing off it made it painful to look at!! at the time i just squinted and put up with it.

was giving the car its final dry and my eyes just went, couldnt see a thing. never had anything like it before but i presume its like snow blindness. started trying to walk up the drive, tripped over the hosepipe (which then started firing water all over me) and grazed my face, and arm on the house wall!

the eyes took about an hour to get back to normal.

next time i will definately be wearing sun glasses!!!

That's pretty bad. But kinda funny in a sick way! (sorry!!) Must have looked quite funny from a neighbours window! "Mummy, why's that crazy man wrestling with his hose on the floor?"

I had a hose mis-hap last night too. The bugger flicked itself out of the bucket (while filling it up at full pelt) and just went for me! Had about 3 or 4 big wet lines across me and cunningly got me straight in the eyes too! Sneaky hose also managed to get a shot through the front door behind me! I swear it's possessed!

Did you at least get a suntan out of it?

yeah i must admit it was rather funny. and only one side of my body got tanned! cheated by the damn sun lol.

Back on topic...unlucky dude :eek: sounds pretty bad! I had a similar roblem in my last job working for a local car hire company. Some days I'd just be washing hire cars all day long. No problem, but the fleet consists mainly of bright silver Fiestas, and lordy it was unpleasant doing that in bright sunshine. Headaches, partial temporary blindness (really not fun as I was right beside a main road!), bad times...

Be very carefull.

One of my friends is a chips away repair man and he ended up with a retina issue and had to have an eye operation after painting a fleet of white cars in bright sun.
