Octavia I Bootlid Dimensions

Featured Replies

Hey,

I'm trying to get a WRC spoiler arranged for my Mk2 vRS but there are no aftermarket ones that I like.

However, there are plenty that are designed for the Mk1 that I like.

Basically I am after the dimensions of a Mk1 bootlid, and if they are the same size as the Mk2, then theoretically a spoiler made for the Mk1 should fit the Mk2.

Ideally I'd be after this spoiler:octavia_wrc_rear_spoiler.jpg

Many thanks

I'm not sure this will work.

The mk1 bootlid is slightly smaller than the mk2 one (so mk1 spoiler won't overhang), but I think the curve across the deck surface, and possibly where the deck folds down into the rear lip are different. This means you'd need to fill edges or file the spoiler.

Thanks for replying. I might buy a cheap one off eGay to test fit to see how it looks anyway.

The back end of the mk2 vrs is so big and a wrc wing would look the business IMO :)

No problem; as I say the problems are most likely to come from the curve across the rear deck, which is too big to measure properly short of access to factory drawings.
