The 'Autoboot' feature that is available on Audi A4's - that is the boot can be fully opened up by simply pressing the middle button on the remote, can also be adapted to work on most VAG hatchbacks.

Don't think this will work on the Octavia as the middle button only unlocks the boot, it doesn't actually unlatch it.

Thats all it does on the Golf as well - until you plug in VCDS that is and change the coding, then it pops the lock off the catch (you still have to lift the tailgate, which is where the springs take over)
