What do I need to fit R32 mk5 brakes to my vRS.

Featured Replies

seen a full set of mk5 R32 discs calipers and pads, but not sure were to get the bits to get them to fit.

I believe i will need the discs drilling to 5x100

but what brackets will i need to mount the calipers

also what brake lines

thanks in advance

Tom

Would it not be easier to seek out some mk4 R32 brakes for it?

I asked the question a while ago and just not worth going into it.

They mount differently as well IIRC so look for something else.

prob would be better looking for mk4 set but @ the mo the mk5 set is below £200 yes they are on ebay

am going to leave it for the mo, maybego bigger :D

thanks for the replies

I know Des is running the cupra brembos on his octy and that's one of the, if not the, fastest octy 1 on this forum, so sometimes bigger is not always necessary. It seems good 4 pots are more than adequate for most applications.

Brakes on my Porsche are only 298 mm on the front and 299 on the rear.

Granted they are vented and have 4 pot callipers all round, but how much braking to you really need?

ye but your Porsche is a mid engined sports car a well balanced machine so with the set up you have it will be good :)

mine is a 370 bhp taxi, a fast taxi

Tom hi,,,, Did have Brembos to go on it when i owned it but sold them for massive profit :P Just put some Tarox F2000 on the red one and they work fine

Look out for Cupra r breaking and get the brakes off that
