Best HU for iPod track scrolling?

Featured Replies

Ive currently got a Sony CDX-GT50UI in my Fabia at the moment, direct connect to my iPod which is great, but not so great when I want to scroll through my iPods massive library of songs and artists as it seems to take an age to go from one artist to the next. I was just wondering if there was another HU similar to this that can scroll through my songs as quick as you could on the iPod itself?

Try one of the ipod ready headunits from Alpine.

I've got a Pioneer DEH-P7000UB in my Mk2, great piece of kit imo and looks rather modern and stylish without being in your face.

It will even charge the Ipod while your driving, i wish id have gone for the Bluetooth ready unit though.

Gets my vote, this one required the adapter box but is pretty good.

Alpine seems the best bet from my researching...namely the iDA-X001, seen a few on eBay for under £100...unless theres a similar alternative?

I recently installed a Kenwood BT8041U, it's actually very quick at scrolling via tracks, albums or artists, as quick as the iPod I'd say. Also charges the iPod and has bluetooth.

Another vote for Alpine. Had the X001 in the Fabia and it was excellent. Now superseded, so have a look at the X100 which has better placed buttons, or the X300. I believe the X100 is now an old model too, but still more than capable. So you might find a few good deals around for remaining stock.
