Q about induction noise

Featured Replies

On my last vrs i had a carbonio cai and forge dv and the noise of the induciton and DV was fantastic.

Now that was crashed and ive bought another so back to square one, as another carbonio would be very pricey would i get the same/similar nosie from just another forge DV and a panel filter, say a green cotton one, or do you need the induction kit/cai to make it come alive?

you need an cai to get the intake noise mate

but power wise you would be better off staying with the standard box and uprated panel filter

IF you like the noise then get the £40 one off ebay and get a nice good filter.

I think the diff between the Box and the CAI is minimal to none, they will both give the same so its up to you.

I concur with Billy the Cai works ok its only the induction kits with the cone mounted in the bonnet that seem to lose power.

i ordered a Forge Splitter & a Pipercross VIS, the DV came home a week b4 the VIS and it was a bit louder than the standard one but once i fitted the VIS on saturday its so loud. BTW fitting a VIS on a vrs with Xenon headlights is a B*tch

ill bet mate

the VIS is really exp though. thats y i got the ebay one as its the same. and does the same job.

iirc the K&N one is modular so you can take a bit out so the filter is in the engine bay for the rainy periods.

I know this as the destructions were for it lol.
