Any forthcoming major leaps in the Octavia model line-up?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm on my 3rd Octavia now. Every 2.5 years, I do what most of you do, take a look around at my options so I'm prepared at the 3 year point to make my choice.

For me, I always say to myself "this will be the year I change brand away from Skoda, unless they do x, y or z". The most recent change I said to myself that I'm moving unless Skoda bring out a TDi vRS, and they did just in time  (though I know they didn't do it just for me ;) ).

For my next car I'd like roughly 220+bhp with 4WD, 5 doors with an option for an estate. Any chance of Skoda upping their game, or are there other options I should investigate?

I know I could buy a Scout and remap it, but I want that power natively with the option to remap it later.

Cheers,

(moon on a stick) Dave.

Audi S3 Sport back :P

I think your best bet would be to hang on for the superb estate, 250bhp 4wd v6

Funnily enough, the S3 is on my list, but a bit spendy! Superb Estate v6 4WD sounds interesting, as does the saloon.

bit of a big heavy car, then again so is my passat but it handles well for a large car as does the superb.

I've drove the passat 4motion DSG with the same engine and it was a really fun car though I would highly recommend sorting the suspension out as it was some what wallowy, mines got the lowered sports springs so its not too bad but far from brilliant
