Finally got my remap

Featured Replies

Thanks to the guys at awesome I got my little furby remapped yesterday. Prinouts show a whopping 334lb/ft of torque. Not sure how long the clutch is gonna last like, but it's great fun :D.

just remeber to take it easy for this first few miles to get used to the extra power

and try to feed the power in rather than stamping on the go pedal that will help with the life of the clutch

enjoy matey

What BHP did you make?

would expect mid 170's with that torque figure

It came out at 179BHP. And yes thanks for the advice Bobjim, I've been taking it easy it's quite a big jump in performance. I don't boot it that often anyway, it's just a nice to have. Getting back to previous threads about 312 brakes, they look essential for the extra oomf, so I reckon I'll be upgrading as the fronts need doing shortly anyway.

Where'd you get the map done? Your not a million miles away from me and i like those figures!

Hey

Glad you like it

I must admit , jeff has done a few good un`s on the Fabia ;)

Have fun

Yes - 312 brakes feel soooo much better.

Have you got a rear ARB on yet - they make a massive difference too.

I'm only just up the road from you in Ramsbottom - so I'll keep my eyes open for a fast silver vRS in Bury!

Can't believe I haven't seen you bobbing around, am only in Totty and yellow ones aren't hard to miss. Not got RARB yet, was waiting til the brakes need doing, and getting the bushes done at the same time.

Hi

Yes you need to see the interior of Andys car  lovely it is

Sarah

I'm guessing this was a custom map? What other engine/exhaust/clutch mods do you have?

  • Author

It's got a PD160 and a Green Cotton Filter, nowt else. I'm new to mod's so I'm only just scratching the surface. This is what I'm planning:

- Front Strut brace

- Rear ARB

- 312 brakes

- Cupra bushes

- Leather seats (dunno yet might just get new cloth)

- lower by 25mm

- furry dice

All dependent on yummy mummy's car not packing up so might take some time.

 About 2 weeks I reckon.

Thinking about a remap and just wondering how the clutch is nowadays?

My thinking being that if its ok at your torque figures then I should be ok with a mild remap haha.
