Octavia II - Air Bag Light - 01221 - Crash Sensor Side Airbag

I have had my Airbag light come on the dash.

So booked it in the dealer to check it out.

Got to the dealers at 9.10am this morning and was told it would be around 1hr 30 mins. So had a coffee... waited, more coffee.

After 2 hours wondered outside and found that the car had not moved from where I had parked it...

After quering the Service Reception, was tolded that they have problems with the Diag kit and forgot I was waiting !!

So decided to get my Cable back from a friend who has borrowed it as I would like to know what is actually wrong...

It shows the following error

VCDS Version: Release 805.3

Address 15: Airbags

2 Faults Found:

01221 - Crash Sensor Side Airbag; Driver Side (G179)

010 - Open or Short to Plus - Intermittent - MIL ON

01221 - Crash Sensor Side Airbag; Driver Side (G179)

008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent - MIL ON

At least I now know when it goes to the other Skoda dealer that it will take them 2 minutes to diagnose and will have to bring it back again for a replacement Sensor?

After looking at various post I can not be sure where the sensor actually is, so thought I would post this so it can be helpful for others.

Can someone please confirm where the sensor is?

Under the seat?

In the door pillar?

In the Centre console?
