warranty problems,what are my chances?

Featured Replies

my car ran out of warranty in july(vrs octy), skoda very kindly refunded me on four coilpacks last month,i now have a cold start problem and a sticking starter motor, which have become apparent since july.

would they be likely to fix my problems being as the car is only just out of warranty,or am i dreaming?how far does skoda's good will go? the coilpacks have been an issue over the whole VAG range, i also understand that there have been a few issues with the coolant temp sensor. the car is in for 40k service soon, should i brace myself for a much larger bill?or is skoda gonna be on my christmas card list for years to come?

In my experience the warranty is pretty fixed in being 3 years/60k miles. My air con sensor packed up at 3 1/2 years and they would not fix it, however I did manage to get them to cover the labour for replacing a track rod arm, but that was a dealer decision rather than a Skoda decision.

It doesn't hurt to ask and the worst that can happen is they can say no :)
