Featured Replies

i went to see a 02 yellow vrs with 43k miles 1 owner from new. it drove very well and body work was excellent apart from a mark on the back bumper . but the front seat bolsters were very worn ie no cushion left as if they were well used. do you think the car could be clocked or maybe just been a car used for short frequent journeys so they were gettin in and out of the car alot? hope that makes sence any help would be great.

matt

seems very low miles for the seats to be fecked is the owner a fat *******???

:D

My seat bolsters are flat, at 85k.

I am slightly large framed though, although not as fat as my name may suggest :rofl:

its at a garage so i dont know if the owner was big or small.

is it a commen problem or can they be re cushioned?

Yes, the cushion can be replaced, its a standard Skoda part from any dealer.

really is it hard to do because the bottom right cushion on mine could do with replacing, is it a hard job? and how would you do it?

oh any idea on cost?

Cannot give a price as Skoda replaced the cushion and the lower seat cover FOC when it started to fray on my old Octy vRS.

The car car was just under five years old when they agreed to do it, albeit after a bit of a heated debate as to the quality of the product, as I did not think it should have frayed at that age and mileage, especially as I am not a fat git.

I watched the fitter do it in under an hour, easy job to do.

Does seem slightly low miles to be worn out, mines done 104,000 and the seats are fine (little Dirty though) Id prob be a little bit wary.
