The only problem you encouter is the driveshafts getting in the way of the lower bolt, so you have to jack up the strut to move it up a little.

Also found that one of my drop links is 10mm longer than my other. Off to Skoda tomorrow, joy

Yeah did this the other week as thought that was the source of my clonking.

Took the old ones out at 48k and they looked no different to the new ones going in! except the hole on the olds ones was a bigger diameter

with regard to the drop links, they changed the design so all fabias use the same, slighjtly shorter links now

No this one was from a golf I think. The threaded bar was longer too
