TDI Intercooler differences (90bhp ALH)

Featured Replies

Hi Octy fans!

I need a new intercooler for my 2001 Ambiente TDI (90bhp ALH) and I am looking for a secondhand replacement. There appears to be different part numbers and would like to know what the differences are. Numbers are:

1J0 145 803F

1J0 145 803G (EKTA lists this for ALH)

and 1J0 145 803T

I would like to know if I can fit any of the variants, rather than having to have the 'G' variant. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanx

Dan

hi, i have a 1.9 Tdi octavia 1 AGR and have checked the SMIC which was removed as i had upgraded to a larger boost factory SMIC. the part number given is 1JO 145 803 F. seems common thu out the range. not sure if this helps. all the best.

Bought a secondhand 1J0 145 803F via eBay (only 10 miles up the road from me) for £35 in excellent condition.

Was removed from a 2003 1.8T vRS so as you say they are common thoughout the range.

Will be fitting tomorrow so hopefully will get full boost back!!

Thanks

Dan

It may be where the pressure sensor is fitted. I have seen them in the top of the inter cooler or in the pipe from the intercooler to the engine.
