Am I right in thinking the MK1 vRS came with both 16" and 17" wheels?

Was it a small update along with the different keys and autochanger?

i think estates had 16's with higher profile tyres to help cope with the extra weight and hatches got 17's - although i could be wrong!

Looking around the net I think you might be right mate.

No idea why my hatch has got 16" wheels fitted then... Makes you wonder :(

First vRS's had 16" wheels, this was a balls up and most were replaced by the 17's under good will.

Estate has 16" wheels apparenty as they are missing the rear bracing of the hatchback.
