Where is the 2nd air flow sensor?

Featured Replies

Just had my engine light come on so i plugged in the comp which came up with the secondary air flow sensor. Does anyone know where it is as i only thought there was only the one next to the airbox.

There's a secondary air pump on the front of the engine close to the gearbox, I don't recall a sensor as such. These pumps are known for the rivetted plastic casings coming loose and affecting their operation. New pumps are around £300, though people do replace the rivets with nuts and bolts.

First off check the pump and all its pipework for leaks. The pump works only when the engine is cold and for a short time and sounds like a hair dryer.

isnt there one just before the throttle body??? from intercooler:confused:
