Oem method of achieving more negative front camber

Featured Replies

a little birdie told me that if you fit an audi TT lower arm, it will give you more negative camber, whilst retaining Oem build quality

They are aluminium and the ball joint can be located at different points due to the eccentric bolt holes in the mount.. You can get up to 0.5 degrees negative with these alone.

I thnk that combined with WALK could be a nice combination

Walk?

Whiteline Anti Lift Kit, aka W A L K.

the TT lower arms would give you a permanent 0.5 degrees additional negative camber over stock, which wouldnt be enough to cause any additional tyre wear,

the additional caster provided by the anti lift kit, provides dynamic negative camber upon turn in,

put the two together, and it should creat an awesome handling car without the expense of replacing tyres as frequently as you would do if you had large amount of negative camber

well thats my thoughts anyway.

You can be our guinea pig then, and let us know what happens..!

Take a look here Simon, it may answer some of your questions.

Jonnyc's MK5 ED30 Build Thread..

Although don't read all 67 pages unless you're bored.

I think you can safely say that JonnyC is pushing the A5 chassis to the limit and is more than capable of extracting that performance.;)

id love to but my list of mods is long and prosperous unlike my bank balance:(

However i have just emailed balance motorsport to try and get a full set of the stiff black powerflex poly bushes ordered and fitted the same time, as my anti lift kit.

im also wandering if the TT/S3/R32 has a faster steering rack which might fit in place of the std skoda one. i see from another thread in the mk1 octavia section that the old TT/R32 etc fitted the mk1 vRS.

Wow, that is pretty crazy. have asked few Qs abou the TT lower arm though, could be a good buy as i can get them tax free over here in germany so a tidy 19% off. Just want to confirm that WALK will fit with that lower arm.

I might have a few items for you to purchase for me actually simon

Forgot you were in Germany :D

Total cost= 5 euro, (2.50Each)

3- Ball Joints

Amount required= 2 total, 1 per side

Total Cost= they didnt charge for these????

In total it came to 323 euros+19%tax, so 385 euros total inclusive of VAT.

hope this all helps. the part numbers are the same in both countries.

Ive not fitted mine yet, im going to fit it along with WALK and all the front poly bushes in one large swoop. Im expecting a big big difference.

WALK supposably makes a massive difference, and according to this thread so does the TT lower arms http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthread.php?t=71940&highlight=lower+arms .

so add the poly bushes and all my other suspension mods and i should have a pretty well sorted handling setup.

Anyone wondering who that JonnyC is that Ian mentions -
