Tom's 05 Toyota Corolla 1.4 D-4D MMT T3

Featured Replies

Well as SWMBO is waiting for a hip op, her hip was getting a bit painful, so we decided to get a little automatic. However, looking for Golf-sized cars with really economical engines isn't easy, but luckily we came up trumps with this little gem!!

Its a 2005/05, Toyota Corolla T3.

Our one has an accessory rear spoiler fitted, but it looks great, especially with the black paint.

The 1.4 D-4D is about 90bhp, but its bloody nippy  The MMT gearbox is an automated manual, and whilst you are aware of changes, its really very slick and great fun in manual mode too, and all at no detriment to economy and improved emissions over the manual! :)

I 100% recommend the Corolla, its so well put together, and so far I really can't fault it. :)

How jolley exciting.

Now what did I tell you about Toyota's?.................LOL

Tom, has it also had some body kit parts also added, sills etc?

And I thought people were exaggerating about you getting through cars like a normal person gets through beer :D

Yeah but this one sounds more like it's Toms G/Fs car.

Nice looking motor, whens the remap due??

Its Aimee's car, just I had to buy and finance it *sigh*.

And I'd love to remap it, but I'd hate to kill the MMT box - that would be very expensive I'm sure

Very nice car there Tom.

My mate has the 2.0 D4D T-Spirit in blue.

You seem to be more "in the know" than my mate so will be able to avoid more of the large bills.

Don't lose the headlight bulb clip (same with any car) they dont want to sell them without the complete headlight unit.

Bulb changing....one side you need midget hands. But you had a Passat so you might already know some tricks.

Other than that hope you and your lady are happy with the car :D

I actually think this generation of Corolla is really smart. I love the Compressor performance one a lot and this one hardly looks any different! top stuff!

whooooppppahhhhhhh!!!!!

Looks nice Tom
