rear wiper nozzle

Featured Replies

My rear wiper nozzle seems faulty as the water comes out in 2 streams and not the finer mist like the fronts.

What needs to be replaced and what part number is it?

My old Octy vRS had two nozzles in the rear wiper/washer, so I always got two jets you could adjust.

I assume you have already looked to make sure of the number of nozzles on the rear arm?

If you only have one nozzle, then wiggle a pin in it to see if its blocked.

The nozzle on my Octavia Estate always used to squirt straight up the rear screen, but now it rotates with the wiper. I don't know if it was seized and has freed itself or if it's not meant to move and has now come loose. Either way it only reaches halfway up the screen so the top half is always a bit dirty, but as the wiper can't bend enough to wipe the top half I don't suppose it really matters.

It does have 2 nozzles, one was blocked but managed to sort that but on my last octavia they sprayed a fine mist over all the screen now they just shoot a jet each that only hits near the centre part of the screen the wiper will wipe. This is the facelifted wiper with the cover on it btw.

I think i know the one you mean. Is it the little stumpy one with two nozzles in the end as opposed to the long rectangular one with one hole in the middle and one at the end?

There is apparently two available for the octavia. I know because i have the stumpy one in front of me, the dealer ordered it wrong and i couldn't be bothered to take it back.
