MPG just gets better on this car.

Round trip of 60 miles, with a full tank, country roads and city centres.

wasn't exactly going for the economy run either .... just ask the poor Mercedes driver if you don't believe me. ;) I mean 61! Sheeeesh. IThat's impresive for a landbarge.

Try to post the average speed as well, it gives a more accurate useage profile.

Hey I felt geeky enough by posting this in the first place man! Posting aversge speed now too?

Average speed, when you factor in the city traffic I reckon would have been around 30mph. Your average speed is always surprisingly low. Like I said I was just surprised when I got home and glanced down to see 61mpg from a car the same size as Surrey. It was a glorious sunny day and a relaxed country drive on the way home so I was driving pretty smoothly for a change but still!

I've had 50+ showing on my automatic so I can believe a manual would do better.

Never mind average mpg and speed everyone, what about real term figures for maximum miles between fill ups. I'll throw mine into the ring. 628 miles on one tank!! This was multiple journeys (not just one single trip). My car is a 2006 V6 TDi manual 6 speed. I was quite pleased with that figure from a 60ltr tank. My mondeo 2ltr tdci 130 managed 705 once (same tank size) covering similar journeys. These were normal journeys with no slip streaming lorries or cruising in neutral. If anyone can beat that and i'm sure someone will, it will give me a new target to aim for lol!!

885, from Lyon to the Scottish Borders, and fuel light came on just as we approached the house, 1.9 tdi 130, 5 up full boot

BTW what happened to the other 10 litres the superb has a 70 ltr tank???

My 55 Superb 1.9 tdi has a 62l tank. I thought they all had. The most I ever managed to fill in was 58 liters.

Longest Trip I managed was 710 miles.

Not sure where you get your 70 ltr tank from as all superbs are listed as having 62 litre tank capacity both in the owners manual and brochure. You got a good mileage figure, but it looks like for one journey rather than multiple ones and you are running a 1.9 rather than a V6 with what looks to have an extra 8 litre reserve tank!!! lol....

What about any V6 tdi owners can you beat 628 miles on one tank for multiple journeys?

Feck that's better than I thought, just checked the book and it is 62 litres, mind you there must be around 3 more in the filler tube when you brim it
