Guessing no one knows??

TBH mate I have never seen one of those before :confused:

I thought the control unit was the one in the dash.

Hi.

How did you know the unit had broken? Ive just posted a topic as i'm having problems with my air con and wondering if it could be the same thing.

The name of that part number is 'electric fan control unit'. The official workshop manual shows that the radiator fan control unit (presumably the same part) is bolted on below the battery rack. Check that the old and replacement part numbers are the same because there are 4 different versions, with the K version having been superceded by the Q version.

Think you've bought the wrong part there bud.

Thanks guys,

I took my car into Royce Roberts Skoda in Hull.

I checked the part number with them and they said its the old one (same one thats just broken in my car).

They wanted to charge me £320 to replace! so you can see why i searched ebay and bought this one!

I have an out-of-date ETKA which lists that part at £93.56 (15% VAT) so how on earth did the dealer arrive at £320?

They said fitting would take 3-4 hours

Im just hoping its not a massive job to change.

Also... the seller off ebay sent me the wrong item. He's sent me the climatronic display unit or whatever its called 1U1 907 044 A

But he's said i can keep it and he'll post me the correct part.

Bonus!

hmmm I thought the display unit was the control unit. It certainly is on VWs and Audis

Basically i need the aircon ECU. Suppose it is confusing calling it the Aircon control unit.

So now you also have a 'display and operating unit with control unit for electronic regulation of air conditioner', ie Climatronic display unit - which used to cost circa £361 - FOC? Is that what you needed all along?

What you described arriving is the aircon ecu.
