Interior light stays on??!!

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!!! I recently bought a 51 plate fabia classic sdi. Very slow, very basic, but ideal as my new job means i'll have to commute over 100 miles a day. Got it for a good price.... 2200 with 55000 on the clock and full history.. good stuff.

Well typically i'm a newbie with a question and would appreciate if anyone could sread some light for me. i've already done a search.

Basically i'm wondering if the clock and odometer should stay on even with key out and doors locked??!!

I suspect not as whenever I have the interior light set to the door open side of the switch (if yiou get my meaning) the light stays on constantly.

I've been using the car alot so no probs with the battery yet but don't want to come unstuck...

anyone had the same problem? i'm a bit puzzled.

any help appreciated.

Yep these will stay on

Hope this helps.

The digital aspects of the dash always stay on, such as the odometer and the clock.

The roof light should turn off when either you lock the car or turn the ignition. See if the same problem occurs when only using the passenger door if it doesn't then it could be that the mircoswitch on the drivers door is faulty. If it does it with both doors then I don't know what to suggest.

Hope this is of some help,

Joe

Thanks very much, I think there may be a problem with the light circuit then. But for now i'll just leave it switched off and worry about it later. Thanks again for the replies
