Yes - did it in Wednesday with one of these from Halfrauds:

Air Conditioning Measure & Charge from Halfords Price £39.15 Free Comma Air Con Cleaner When You Buy Measure and Charge Air Con Top-Up

It took about 1/2 of the can to bring it up to pressure, and took about 5 mins.

The air con started working immediately, car was used for a 250 mile round trip yesterday with Climatronic set to 18C Auto, worked OK and was still working this morning.

It isn't particularly cheap,(£39) as a regas is only about £45, but I suspect I have a pinhole or O-ring leak, and it is supposed to contain sealant as well as gas & oil, so it's a last ditch attempt to cure it cheaply before I entrust to the tender and probably extremely expensive mercies of a specialist.

Mine is going in to a local air conditioning specialist for a service which will be £44. I believe that this also includes anti-bacterioral treatment too.

Seems better value than £39.15 as they will check for leaks and faults whilst servicing and they know what they are doing too.

I regassed mine with the same stuff as BJM on Monday. Easy job and now cool as it should be. BTW I got mine from Ebay for £20 :D

Done properly the old gas is sucked out and fresh put in, this helps eliminate bacteria...we always use a dye in the oil as it helps show up leaks. Around £40 to £50 is the norm for a recharge
