Fabia Face Lift model Sept 2004

Featured Replies

Today, at a local dealer, I had a look at the new Fabia "ambiente" model (to replace the "comfort" model apparently). The front bumper has VRS style treament - round fogs and vertical slat lower grill. Inside a new seat trim, like a carbon fibre weave effect - much nicer and more practical than the contrasting "comfort" trim. New instrument dials - again a bit VRS style I think, but it looks a bit tacky to me. A chunkier? steering wheel - maybe its a bit smaller. Rear lights are supposedly slightly different but I got bored before I could take a look.

Don't know how a South Yorkshire dealer can have one of these when they've only just announced it in Paris yesterday. (actually its been sold but they have another one just in case you're interested)

Looks as if Skoda maybe is trying to tap the youth market more with a cheap VRSish lookalike.

Not a radical change. Lets see what the October price list brings us.....in the wake of the SE models....
