GLX Equipment/VRS additions.

Featured Replies

 I'm a bit confused as the the MK1 facelift in 2000 that the Octavia got according to wikipedia, what changed, I saw the interior of a MK1 pre-facelift from romania but it was totally different to the inside of my 1999 1.9TDi GLX, mine has octavia in the middle of the dash and a triangle hazard light button, this octavia was very much different and looked older.

GLX doesn't have remote central locking, would one of those kits off ebay with the flip keys work? Easy to fit?

And also, I'd like to make sort of a Vrs replica :cool: Because I cannot afford the insurance on the real deal xD It's been chipped to just over 110bhp and I'll add a air filter and maybe some larger injectors but all in all a cracking engine, what do I need for a convincing VRS? Alloys, Interior, Dials, Front Bumper?

Anyone suggest any nice grills, splitters or just general mods to do?

Also does anyone know if there are any Black Angel eye or R8 style headlights for the Mark 1 Octavia?

And finally, the sound system is getting upgraded, I hear the basins for the speakers are shallow any suggestions on what to replace the standard ones with? and what sizes they are also?

Many Thanks.

The description of your facia centre matches mine (52 plate Elegance so post facelift).

Main things that changed that you'd notice are front and rear bumpers, wings and lights. So to make a pre-facelift car look post facelift you'd need new bumpers, all exterior lights, front wings, bonnet and grilles (all 4).
