I own a 2003 Superb TDI and recently I have been hearing a knocking sound when I turn the key in the ignition to the stage before engaging the engine.

It sounds like it is coming from the passengers side of the car.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Air in the fuel? Check all lines for leaks.

I dont think it is air; it sounds more of an electronic type of knocking; would it be relays or something similar??

I have same "problem" in my superb, but i am not worry

Is it a knock or a whoosh sound, if it's a whoosh it's the derv pump kicking in, and nothing to worry about.
