Hi Guys,

I went to look at a VRS yesterday and it looked mint but it just didn't seem right. I have never driven a Turbo car so I don't know what to expect but prior to the turbo kicking in the car slowed down, juddered a bit and then took off. Then the engine management light flashed and the guy said the turbo was cold. Is this right?

Also seen another one on autotrader and the guy said everything works and I said including the air con and he said it didnt have it. I thought it was standard across the range so did he mean it just needed re-gassing?

could be failing coil pack or dodgy maff, both not expensive to sort. Possible dirty throttlebody but i dont think you would get a flashing engine light.

Climate control is standard on the VRS

If the seller is telling you 'it's because the turbo is cold' then what else is hiding/not telling you? The car should be smooth until the turbo kicks in. Warning lights flashing during a test drive is not a good thing!

Thanks for your replies. They say go with your instincts so I walked away from that particular car. The search will continue though but for now I shall keep my boring Vectra !!

Yes its mine. I have priced it quite high because in my heart i don't want to sell it, thats why its not for sale on here. If a good offer came a long then i would probably part with it but would miss it :(.
