Whats It worth?

Featured Replies

Hi All. I have a 04/04 Vrs with 49k and fsh. I cant decide whether to:

a) Keep the car

b)Buy Leon Cupra

c)Buy Focus ST with a view to getting the Mountune kit

Does anyone have any thoughts?

I got a p/x value of 3.5K which I wasnt surpirsed at but it still hurt! So am considering selling privately. Anyone sold recently and know what to expect?

Thanks

This thread won't last long!

Already been told off!

Who offered you the £3.5k trade in? Which car was it against? Not that I'm selling, but just wondered about the car you were interested in as they both are on my 'possibility' list in the future when we don't need to carry a pram around.

A) Keep the car.

Seat offered the trade in value against a 57 plate leon cupra @ £13994. I think I am leaning towards the Seat at the minute, seem to be better value for money as long as I can ut up with the cheap dash plastics and lack of leather.

Don't forget the ST came in 3 spec levels and a minor facelift. It really depends if you want to stay with VAG or go to Ford.

keep the vRS... spend some money on it!!!

Focus's seem more expensive seconhand especially in ST3 guise and it would have to be white without stripes, which is proving a nightmare to locate.

Leon seems to be as quick and better on fuel but the ST does have the nice 5 cyl growl!

And a nice thirst for fuel too :)

Yep forgot it is a thirsty beast not to mention ...... a Volvo unit!

Keep it, pimp it, cherish it.

P.S. its the grey 07/57 plate one! As you can tell I.T. isnt my strong point!

Keep the skoda!!

why not an Octy 2 vRS?

Did consider it as I have found an 08 white one for 13999, but didnt think i wold really notice any increase in power etc..

The ST's are very desirable cars for criminals. Lots get stolen in burglaries where the thugs are after the keys.

If you like the Leon's, then you won't regret it.

I have a Leon FR and my Octy and whilst I love my vRS, there is something addictive about the Mk2 Leon...they handle and drive so well by comparison. I guess that's evolution for you though!

Looks a nice car to me....in the best colour, with low mileage to :)

Here's my two!

ST! ST! ST! ST!

And you'd be lucky to get much more than that privately

Nice VRS and Leon Pics. Had hoped toget £4500 if I decide to sell privately but might just p/x it and be done with it.

The mk2 vRS I drove at the Briskoda day at Allams in Surrey felt as quick as a remapped mk1 vRS. And you can remap the mk2s to something like 250bhp

I think the Seat would be a good choice. Didn't you used to have an Ibiza Cupra at one point? I may be going with a diesel Leon as my next car once the Octy is paid off.

And what happened to the idea of getting an R32...? :)

ST with Mountune upgrade, you can't go wrong. If i had that kind of money though, I would put up with looking like a complete p***k and get myself an E46 M3. There are some serious bargains around these days.

Now thats not the attitude of a BMW driver now is it :)

Your right tho, total bargains to be had. Even the CSL models are cheap now.
