Felicia Car wont start now

Featured Replies

Its a 1.3 petrol.

Started Ok yesterday.

Engine turns on the starter & Getting a spark on the HT,

Suppose it must be fuel problem ?

Got half a tankful in there.

How to check for fuel delivery ?

Prob fuel pump.

Get someone to listen out for a hum/touch the pump to see if it vibrates or take the fuel line off turn the ign and see if it squirts

Hit it with a hammer then try starting.

Mine started fine once , stopped at a mates and didnt start afterwards til the pump was changed.

Swung the back seat to open the cover of the fuel pump, and the wife turned up.

She churned it over for a while, and it started !

Then the revs slowly died and it stopped ?

More churning, and it started,

and then died with a "POP".

Churned it again, and it started,

and, with some reving, ran OKish.

Took it for a run and now its OK ?

Must be symptom of something ?

Dont know what.

Are there any other symptoms leading up to this? How long since you have had it serviced? Changing the plugs, HT leads, and checking the distributor & rotor arm are important on the 1.3 Spi. If it wasn't getting fuel it probably wouldn't have started at all. You may have disturbed the fuel pump when you lifted the seats? Hope thats of some help - I'm sure someone with more knowledge then me will be able to help you.
