XBOX 360 Help

Featured Replies

ok, i got 3 red lights on my xbox 2 weeks ago today :( had it sent back on the tuesday, and had one delivered last thursday, but the video was broken

29255.attach

was told it will be collected tomorrow/wednesday and will take a further 7-10 days to be returned to me! THATS NEARLY 1 MONTH! i also just got off the phone to the worst customer service rep EVER! she hung up when i asked to be passed on to someone else that could speak English! i probably wont get it back at all now. :thumbdwn::D

Any way, this is the 3rd time its going back overall, do i keep making a nusiance of myself or just give and wait for my 1month free xbox live?

ull need to take that apart to sort out that problem mate i had the same thing with mine

take off the heat sink of the processor n put some washers on it

its going back to microsoft for them to fix!

"put some washers on the heatsink"?

Might have to try that on mine....

Check that your PSU isn't buggered.

We had three replacement xboxes in a row from Microsoft and then they suggested it may be the PSU destroying the xboxes one after the other.. and it was :D

Also as this will be your 3rd repair you can get a freebie off microsoft .They give you a choice of a free game that you can choose off a list or a wireless controller .just make sure to complain enough about it being in for repair and that its your 3rd repair .

Actually, that looks like it might be a handshake issue between the TV and xbox. When mine did this, simply unplugging the HDMI cable and plugging it back in sorted it out.

It might just be the video cable playing up. That'll cause red lights too (as i found out when mine was loose and i thought it had the ring of death!)

As swivel says unplug it and plug it in again and see what happens! ;)

Some people try a 2p

I have only just seen this thread.

If you are still having issues - Please do send me a PM. I'm able to fix almost anything in regards to a 360 and have completed many 'custom case' builds now. I'm not from india, can fix your 360 and should have it done within a week (parts depending).

It sounds like they didn't fix your old one and send it back. Instead they just sent another one out. These are 'easy fix' issues.

Hope this helps,

Rob.

got it back today and so far all is good! :D

what kind of "custom case" builds have you done? any pics??

I'd hazard a guess at something like this:

Lian Li XB-01B Black Aluminium Quiet Xbox 360 Case, no PSU

It's a replacement case for the 360 that is actually more like a PC case to allow more room for bigger and quieter fans and more ventilation which means the fans don't have to work as hard.

ohhhhhhhhhh that looks good!

ohhhhhhhhhh that looks good!

Just what I was thinking, I didn't spot the price at the top and as I was reading down I expected a £199 price tag (especially as it's Lian-Li) £80 isn't 'too' bad.

i never liked lian-li....but this may have to be ordered,

i may have enough parts about to w/c it aswell

I have done everything. Paint / Stickers/ New Case/ Custom Case.

There are many pictures. I will go and find you some! ;)

Following on from this post, I felt like a challenge and bought this case above. Took me about 30 mins to disasemble everything and transfer the innards of the 360 to the new case. Net result the 360 is much quieter and cooler than before.
