what brake upgrades can be done to the vrs octavia 2.0tfsi, suitable for road use?;)

Welcome to Briskoda Mate!

I think it really depends on how far you want to go or how much you want to spend . As a rough rule of thumb, the standard setup isn't bad for the standard car, so a starting point is often to uprate the pads (EBC, Zero Sixty, DS2500 etc) at this level.

You can then go for uprated discs (Tar Ox, Nuespeed, ECS etc) should you still need more. All these can retain the origonal calipers & carriers.

To go further you can swap to the Audi S3/VW R32 setup, which requires new callipers & carriers. Alternatives to this could be the EBC big brake kit or JKM Big Brake Kit. Roughly speaking you would probably need to have an 18" rim as a minimum to make sure these would fit (there are some 17" rims which have "just about" enough clearance out there!).

Finally I think there are those out there who have fitted or are fitting Brembo or Porsche discs, pads, callipers and carriers etc.

Of course in among all this there is the old school additions of fitting braded hoses and using uprated brake fluid.

I'm sure there will be others who will be able to give you more specific uprating options as this is just a generalisation.

You can also visit the tuning sites in the sponsors section of the forum to see what the prices are of different options.

Enjoy :D !
