Megs NXT 2.0 Tech Wax

Featured Replies

I think I'm in love  Megs NXT 2.0 Tech Wax is the most amazing wax I have ever used, and believe me, I have used many different waxes over the years. At £15 for 538ml it is good value.

1: It goes a long way, a pea sized blob on a foam pad will do one panel

2: It is easy to apply and spread evenly

3: It buffs off so easy, it's a joy to use.

4: No dust when buffing off

5: Deep wet look shine, metalic flake really pops

I know wax is a very personal thing, and people swear by Collie etc, but you really have to try this stuff (Make sure it's NXT 2.0 and not the NXT Spray Bottle which can be a bitch to buff off if left too long.)

I got 3 coats of it on the VRS today, and me and my mate where playing spot the aircraft livery from the bonnet reflections

Sounds interesting. Get some photos up of the results :)

And keep us updated on how durable the finish is.

Will report back on durability ASAP

I can't say I was that impressed with it to be honest, I do however have some bottle's if your interested.........

I used Tech Wax to start with and then while out in the USA I bought some Tech Wax 2.0, it's good an better than the original but the durability is a problem and for the money other waxes will do better, I have also had some problems with the application on a few occasions but maybe that's just me...........:o

Like you say though, it's all down to personal preference........

Car looks good BTW..........:)

Interesting... :)

NXT hiding swirls?

NXT hiding swirls?

I guess this is a tricky one as he applied it with a DA which I have not done before only by hand........

Im using Gold Class just now , its NXT better or worse than this (Dynamic Blue , almost 10 year old Fabia so never gonna be a 100 pointer lol)

NXT afaik is a bit of a cleaner wax with some fillers so using the DA may offer some filling and cut but only a little. IME its good for about 5 mins as it doesnt have any longevity, it does leave a nice slick feel to the paint and is easy to apply but thats because you will have to apply almost every week.

id say you may be better off trying one of the more well known products ontop of AG SRP something like jetseal or zaino cs

I have to agree with Baker21 on this. while it gives a nice finish it doesn't last that long. I did my GF's tigra last month and you can hardly tell now. :(

Update on the NXT 2 longevity.

It last for about 10 washes using Megs NXT Car Shampoo (judged by looking for re-appearance of a few RDS I have on the back bumper.

I have also applied it with a DA, and it really does mask minor swirls very well. It's also quicker to wipe off if applied with a DA

I tend to wax my cars every few months anyway, so while it's not that great wrt longevity, it is very easy to use.

I've got a couple of bottles of NXT Tech Wax (not 2.0) that I'm gonna try using this / next weekend. I heard it doesn't last long but it does seem very easy to apply and buff off. If its naff I'll be selling the unopened bottle on here

Interesting to hear that it contains fillers, maybe I can get away without polishing. Wash, clay, wax, wax...
