One for the derv heads

Featured Replies

Couple of vids i came across where a remapped vRS TDI against a few petrol cars...

First a remapped 1.8T:

A Fungus 2.5 ST:

and a standard 2.0TFSI:

so much for the 7k rpm redline :D

That is no Octi² but a modified older Octi RS.

Goes like stink (and stinks too )

there was no diesel octy mk1 vrs, so **** know what mash up of cars it is, goes well tho

shock horror, a car with more power is faster than one with less

Yeah Bengie, but remember it only revs to 4500 rpm ;) The Fungus has more power revs higher than the TDI and still keeps up;)

The TDI has 7 bhp more than the standard 2.0T and remapped 1.8T but is a good bit quicker.

210+ Vs 197 isn't 7 by the maths i learnt at school ;)

but as i have already said torque doesn't really matter and nor do revs when racing, bhp is what matters as thats the combination of both. which is why a fabia with 300lbft can't keep with a civic that has 150lbft.

You'll find that the 2.0T will have at least 200bhp going by JKM rollers so we are talking average 7bhp, In fairness the TDI might have had problems if the 2.0T was mapped.

It's good to see not all TDI's get left behind on the airfields :D

definitly and that was only because it had less power :)
