Can't find any eagle F1 gsd3 so have got new Falken 912

Featured Replies

No one around us had any Eale f1 tyres so I had to settle for some of these

From first impressions they seem reasonably quiet but only time will tell on what they are actually like on the road, I will break them in gently first

:)

912 is a good tyre.

The GSD3 is pretty much gone except for a few sizes. Good riddance to an ancient design IMHO.

goodyear eagle f1 gsd3 was superceded by the new eagle F1 assymetric, which is a highly regarded tyre. i hear the falkens are a little suspect in the wet though

The 912 would seem to be the model below the 452, which I've been running for the past 1000 miles or so, in both wet and dry conditions, at a variety of temperatures too, without any problems, and I don't hang about either!

So how are the Falken 912s holding up? Am looking for a new set of tyres and have them on my shortlist, along with Nokian H or V.

They aren't too bad in the dry but not a patch on the eagles in the wet.......they will do for now but I won't get them again

no complaints with the 912's grip is brilliant in both wet and dry but they are a small bit noisy. I reckon they will give 30,000km's and I would use them again.

I am coming from Goodyear Excellence all round and these are very good tyres indeed. 912s are a budget alternative, but I would rather spend more if they are going to be a big step down. Also trying to decide if I need to stay with runflat tyres. I have a spare, so not essential, but I do like the hard sidewall feel that runflats have.

I had 912s on my Fabia and they were the single worst tyre I've ever had on any car ever. The 452s are in a different league.

Looks like they are off my list then. Serious consideration being given to Nokian H or V at the moment. Have had their products before and was very impressed.

I'm running the nokia all weather tyre and it's an excellent tyre, so if you can find a supplier and some good reviews of their summer tyre I'd go for it.

I have experienced their tyres before and will buy with confidence. They seem to have some sort of magic compound when it comes to wet weather driving.
