Second gripe with Office 2007, all the key codes for accented letters don't seem to work - I get different ones.

For example, with Office 2003 (and notepad and any other windows app), Alt + 0233 gives me an "é" whereas now I get an exclamation mark, Alt + 0232 gives me a "è" but now I get a question mark in a square box , Alt + 0231 gives me a "ç" but now gives me nothing. :confused::mad:

All the other apps such as notepad give me the correct characters.

I've tried changing to previously known fonts such as Arial, but no difference, also checked that I'm still on Western ISO 8859-1 character set.

Well, looks like it's a glitch with my laptop keyboard. If I have numlock on which turns the keys mjkluio789 into 0123456789, then it works.

Interestingly, beforehand, and still now with notepad, I didn't need to have numlock on, the Fn key on my Vaio was sufficient... Strange, but at least I have a workaround.

I know. I was referring to the virtual keypad on the laptop which turns the block of 9 keys into a keypad.
