The VRS i've just bought which is on variable service intervals dosent have a maxidot display (yet!!) and having tried the method dictated in the manual to display the miles until next service i wonder if the standard display has this function? Can anyone shed any light on this or tell me how to get this info up on the display? The car has only done 10k miles in the 18mths since she was new so not as yet had its 1st service, i was wondering what the car reckoned it had left before it wanted a service! My plan is to get it serviced at a dealer in the next couple of weeks anyway just so they can give it a good going over for me and obviously some nice new oil as a welcome to your new home treat!

Simple job as follows;

1. Run the engine

2. switch off engine, one click only on ignition

3. press the trip meter button and hold in for 2 secs+

4. release trip button and display should change to miles/days to service

Bingo! 8,100 miles and 85 days until it wants a service so that makes it on course for an impressive 18,500 for its 1st service! Im going to get it done in a couple of weeks regardless though just to get the car looked over thoroughly and some yummy new oil too! Thanks for pointing out this, i basically misread the manual thinking that it was telling me to press the reset button on the wiper control stalk!
