I happened to be in my local dealer in Burntwood Staffs over the weekend and they had a nice collection of Facelift vRS Octys parked up ready to be converted into cop cars.

3 x white combis

2 x white hatches

1 x Black hatch

Dealer didn't say which force, but I know Staffs Police already use some unmarked vRS mK1s.

ah, that'll explain why the dials in the instrument binnacle had been removed. I had a good look at them on saturday and the fl looks much better in the metal compared to the pictures

The speedos will be down at IRS in Nottingham being calibrated.

Yeah the removed binnacles and the dog guards in the hatches were a bit of a give away. The face lift seems to look better in the flesh, the black one would look even better with a colour coded grille though.
