Aircon condenser

Featured Replies

As it was going in for the replacement pedal I asked my local dealer to have a look at the AC

which has been a bit pants to say the least.

Diagnosed as a leaky condenser. I've been warned that it is probably a result of debris impact

rather than a fault and therefore unlikely to be a warranty job.

Unfortunately I'm told that they won't be able to tell for certain without actually removing it -

at a labour cost of a couple of quid shy of £340 if it turns out to not be covered by warranty.

Oh, and the new condenser will be around £355

I have sympathy.

Mine is going in next week for the 5th time since new ( Jan 08 ) Gas keeps going but workshop cant find the leak.

Would have been good to have air con during this heatwave. All been done under warranty so far.

Huuuuge sigh of relief...

One of the condenser pipes had apparently split, fortunately no impact evidence so done under warranty :woot:

That's good to hear for you.
