where do i get a new throttle body for my Octavia VRS MK1 apart from skoda . just want to look at my opitions as skoda charged me £230 for a new throttle body and a system clean .

i just thinking it might be cheaper to get a throttle body myself and fit it and get my dads mate to re-set it .

sounds temping if it was cheaper . plus i havent got the money yet . is it only skoda you can get one from ?

what is the fault that you are trying to clear? Westallc's throttle body is a know good one as he took it off his car when he put the painted one on so no need for a new one to try and fault find. you need to look on the VAG COM MAP http://briskoda.net/diagnostics-vag-com/vag-com-owners-map/80992/ for someone near to you who will help for beer money... £250 + , how come skoda can put me a new one on and a full system clean for £230 ?

ive got 17705 code , theyve told me to put a new turbo pressure hose and air intake temp sensor which ive done and it is better , but i need a new throttle body as its opening and shuting and opening again .

i know this as my m8 had the same problema and he needed a new throttle body and mines doing the same .

i know the problem your going through, if its been cleaned correctly and reset. then it should only open and close a cupple of times when it starts up. 3 of a vw club up newcastle havnt changed ours for the cost.

mine got cleaned at skoda and it bounses up and down at idel on a cold start up, but its fine after that,

you just have to bite the bullet and pay 250 if you wont a new one. unless you know someone ar skoda.

theres 3 vw golf gtis my octavia and 2 seat leons have all had the same problem try looking for a modified or performance one. if its around 250 you may get better value.

a new air intake temp sensor will sort the revs ut as it has on mine , just the throttle body has a flip every now and again and its like hitting a brick wall and then flys again .

are you sure its not your asr???
