I have seen a Fabia 1.9 TDi Comfort for sale in Liverpool, and I am interested in buying the car, the downside is that it has no service history. I want to know if its possible to see if any error codes have been erased using VAG-COM?

No, once they have been erased, there gone!

But VCDS does have a useful function which gives an 'independent' odometer reading stored in the ECU. It doesn't work on my 2002 Octavia but does on my 2007 Fabia vRS, ie I think it works with diesels. Read below for more info.
