felicia pick up - few questions

Featured Replies

Hi there, thinking about maybe getting one of these and I'm just after some info and advice on thefelicia pik ups if possible

firstly, I would be using it as my daily driver during the week and occasionally on weekends and will be a bit of a workhorse and hopefully take me up and down the country (only on the odd weekend though), so are the standard engines reliable? I would like to fit a larger engine eventually but not straight away/

which models are the ones to go for? the 'Fun' model looks quite cool but it is very yellow lol but I suppose I could spray it another colour

is the front end interchangable with similar sized VWs and Seats? obviously a bit of work would be needed but is it possible to put say and Ibiza front end on one of these?

and finally, me and my girlfriend do a bit of bike riding so it is quite important that both our bicycles fit in the bed, so is it big enough?

thanks in advance for taking the time to read my thread and I hope you can help me :)

cheers,

Callum.

was hoping for a couple more replies tbh lol...

ahhh theyre just shy ;)

You had my reply via pm but they really are suprisingly good. Try and find a good one without the corrosion on the arches. Ive got that on mine and i need to sort it out. They seem to suffer for it.

I would go for a fun over a normal pick up as its more usefull for differnt situations, what with the extra 2 seats (although they are not for long distance.. the paddings not exactly plush)

lol ok mate thanks a lot

I would probably look at changing the seats at some point anyway so that doesn't matter really, I think I am pretty set on the Fun now as I have looked at a lot of pictures of them and they don't looks as bad once the wheels etc have been changed, tones the yellow down a bit lol

yeah the yellow was the first thing i have toned down on mine haha.

i fitted some chrome wheels *yikes* but they look surprisingly good on there, and they were £50! haha

Also just in the process of changing the steering wheel to a standard felicia one, and the seats and.. well pretty much all the interior. If you buy and fun and opt to do this too, make sure you keep all the original peices, the cars worth more with them.

yeah people like them yellow don't they, when I do get one I will be wanting to match the bumpers etc to the rest of the yellow and just de-lemon the interior  and then lower it and get some nice wheels for it, but that is all as I have a project fiesta I wanna get on the road for next summer :)

hi there, i have a mk2 caddy pickup fully restored to her former glory and a standard skoda pickup which i only bought, it is the dogs! the 1.9 diesel have plenty of poke, the bed is plenty big enough, the seats hurt my back but i have a pair of vw golf seats sorted for that, go for one drive her and drive her they are much nicer than the caddy, but dont let anyone here me saying that!
