Are different manufactures' roof rails the same shape?

I have roof bars with feet that fit a Mitsubishi Spacewagon, would these fit my Octi Estate without damage? Or should I get some new feet?

But some are intrchangeable. mine were bought for a Suzuki Grand Vitara, but are OK for the Octy Estate (not just OK, but the same on the Thule fitting list!)

Good idea - I was going to suggest checking the fitting guide at Thule UK Official Web Site - Find a Dealer, view all the Thule Products and what Thule Bars you need for your car

Thanks for this - I have niw looked on the Halfords roof par site, and that says the Space Wagon and Octavia use the same feet:thumbup:

Looks like I will be able to put my roof box on.....

(Had tought the esate would be big enough for anything - but will be taking my misses, daughter, son-in-law, new baby (+baby things) and our choc lab on holiday, don't think I am going to get all that inside.........

Sympathise!! Octy looked so much bigger that the Suzuki. I only have SWMBO, 2 dogs and STUFF, and still run out of space. next big trip is to collect the new caravan. Looked at the pile of stuff accumulating and bought..Skoda Octavia est (05 on) :Rear bag size SWR (105 x 95 x 72H)- SILVER no. ERSSWR, so I can seriously stuff the whole boot!!
