FL Petrol VRS Hatch

Featured Replies

Bullet bitten at last after 2.5 very happy years in my 2004 Mk1 Vrs I have today ordered a new facelift White VRS petrol hatch with leather and spare (spacesaver?) wheel for September delivery.

I will be gutted to see the Mk1 go as it has been about the best car i have ever owned for making me smile for some 60000 miles. The only work, outside normal servicing, ever being required was a front wheel bearing.

The MK2 seems far more confortable and less exciting.... lets hope im wrong!!

Great choice, I'm also expecting a September delivery of a Silver vRS Diesel hatch :D

Yep good choice, just ordered myself yesterday too. A blue petrol one, with full leather and the spare!!

I have also ordered a vRS in blue, with leather and the spare, but diesel.

Who'd have thought it! A spare as the must have option, the one that adds value to the motor:rofl: by £50!

The only thing is waiting to actually see whether the spare will be a full size or space saver, as the dealer/brochure was not clear. Oh the excitement!

It looks like just about everyone ordering a new car is opting for the spare - would seem like good business for Skoda

Still would rather have any sort of spare rather than a gunge kit

It will be a space saver on the vRS, SUK have confirmed this. Sorry to spoil your excitement :D

Has anyone tried telling a dealer that, unless it comes with a spare, you won't order? Seems an ideal bargaining point. Can't see a dealer lossing a sale for the sum of £50.

Yes, ordered FL VRS estate, deal included a full alloy spare:) Picked up car last week, impressed refinement over previous 1.9TDi Elegance (05) is great, to be honest thought they'd supplied petrol not diesel, that we ordered. Mind you still waiting for spare as someone forgot to order it!!:(. Still not complaining too much thought we were getting old style, but got a FL VRS :):)

Hmmm, tbh i think it all depends on the dealer margins you can squeeze them for;). I think I got a good price for the basic car plus then got a % off all the options, with the 0% finance and 3 year free servicing I was happy:).

So the big Q is, for a petrol DSG 5 door FL vRS in solid red, what's the damage gonna be?

Well a good start might be New UK Cars at the lowest price, New Car Discount, Buy Cheap New Cars, Car Sales, Cheap New Car, Compare Discount, Car Dealer - Online from what you have said they say a maximum price of £16,763 including their fee!! other than getting a price I have never used this site to purchase a car, the same as drivethedeal, they just helped my dealer understand what I was after i.e. about £2k off list and book price of my car!

If you can get a dealer to near that then you are gonna get a good deal I reckon and I suppose it depends on an part ex/finance etc, the total cost of purchase.
