Service Costs Octy mk2 vRS

Featured Replies

Hey guys, just to check this price out, just phoned my dealer to book in for a service, this will be the second since ive had the car and they qouted me £330 for service and brake fluid change.

Now LAST year, i paid £195 for a 2 year long service or 20k miles whichever came first. ive done over the 20k miles thats why im booking it in.

£330 tho?? this cant be right can it ?

Thats about right. Although ring round a few dealers as most will price match.

I paid roughly about that for a second variable service at 36k including Brake Fluid Change

Brake Fluid change is about £50 - £60 depending on labour charge by the garage iirc

Update : I told them id phone some other places, he's just called me back with a qoute of £265 for a second "variable?" service, which lasts for 20k miles or 2 years this includes brake fluid change.

Is this more like it or have i still been done over?

Mater while your about, when did you have to have new brakes? and at what cost :scared:

cars done 35k miles so far, most of wihch are motorway speed, so dont know if im looking at needing them done

That's a good price IMO

However ring around

I paid £405 for 2nd Variable Service, Brake Fluid change & New Brake Pads all round so can't remember the exact break down of the costs but that seems like a good price considering what the cost of the brake fluid change is.

Brakes were done at 36k. The dealer rang me up halfway through and said i still had 8-10k miles left in the pads but with the power i've got i wasn't willing to risk it. Brakes and Tyres i never compromise on as thats all thats going to stop you when your skill runs out and your heading for the tree/wall/person

Brembo pads as well?

Whatever the standard vRS pads are.

I haven't uprated the brakes yet but will prob be going for some DS2500's in the near future
